Mortgage Loan Originator

Cardinal is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator who will be responsible for origination of conventional, FHA, VA & USDA mortgage loans as well as 2nd mortgages, HELOCS and bridge loans.
Conducts initial pre-qualification interviews and prepares complete loan application packages and collecting all necessary documentation.
Conveys policies for extension of credit in accordance with Credit Union and secondary investor guidelines.
Receives, evaluates, and reviews loan applications.
Performs mortgage support services including assisting members with questions and completing basic accounting and clerical duties.
Communicates loan status to all involved parties including buyer, seller, Realtor, and title company representatives.
Assists or refers members as necessary.
Provides general Credit Union information and cross-sells services.
In addition to providing mortgage lending services, it will be expected that the Mortgage Loan Originator will develop new contacts and business from Realtors, accountants and attorneys within all servicing areas.

Required:
Two to five years of similar or related experience.
A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
